Scholarship recipient need not be a high school senior, but may be anyone pursuing higher education, regardless of graduation date from high school
Minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average or equivalent
Acceptance letter from post-secondary institution
CRITERIA

Students must submit along with the completed application:
1000 word personal essay stating how living with your disability has shaped your view of the world and you.
Two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, clergy, guidance administrator, supervisor, etc.
Current high school transcripts

APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications are due on or before August 1st, 2022.
The selection of students receiving scholarships is administered by the Jon Thomas Russell Scholarship Committee. Serious candidates may be asked to participate in a face-to-face interview.
When awarded, students receiving scholarships will be notified and each student will be awarded directly.
The $1,000 scholarship is divided between the fall and spring semesters, with $500 being awarded prior to the fall semester.
Students are eligible for the remaining $500 of their $1000 scholarship if they obtain a passing status in all registered classes and remain in good standing.
Students awarded scholarships will be asked to report academic transcripts following each active semester as a scholarship recipient.
